Residency and Fellowship: University of Texas Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center

Dr. Weathers moved to the Roaring Fork Valley over four years ago and immediately joined Mountain Radiology. After earning his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern medical school he went on to complete his residency and fellowship at the University of Texas Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center. In his final year of residency, Dr. Weathers completed a mini fellowship in breast imaging at MD Anderson. Following residency, he completed a one-year fellowship in Musculoskeletal imaging at UT Houston/ Ironman Institute with a primary focus on sports injury and trauma. While working at the Ironman institute, he was able to care for the athletes of the Houston Texans, Houston Rockets and the University of Houston athletics program. Dr. Weathers currently practices all specialties of radiology with services provided to Valley View Hospital , Grand River Hospital, Pioneers Hospital and Radiology and Imaging of South Texas. He is currently serving a two year term as Chief of Medicine at Valley View. Also, Dr. Weathers is on the Advocacy Board and Growth Team for Radiology Partners.

Dr. Weathers enjoys spending time with his family most of all. In his free time, he pursues his primary hobbies of skiing and fly fishing.
